East Vancouver Farmers Market
EastVancouver Farmers Market Society, a diverse grassroots group, created the Farmers Market. They wanted the Market to provide a place where local farmers, plant nurseries, crafts people and prepared food vendors could sell their products directly to urban consumers. The open air market presents a fun, safe, educational, positive family environment every Saturday from 9-2 between May 15th and October 9th. The society recently secured Lord Roberts Elementary School as the site for the West End Farmers Market. The society also publishes a newsletter about the Market and its achievements. Every issue contains a great selection of recipes. |
